To some people the Fox/Wolf River basin may look like a puzzle. Each piece is part of the basin puzzle is called a "subwatershed". If you live in the Fox/Wolf basin, your neighborhood is a subwatershed. There happens to be 40 subwatersheds in the Fox/Wolf basin. Subwatersheds are named after smaller rivers, creeks, or lakes that are linked to the larger rivers.
The Fox/Wolf River Basin is divided into three sections -
Wolf River

Upper Fox River
Lower Fox River
Throughout the OF TIME & THE RIVER section of the website, these sections are color coded for easy reference.
